Delhi University admits undergraduates through CUET UG scores, allotted through its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) — board marks decide eligibility, not merit. The 2026 admission cycle is over. Below is how it ran, how DU works out merit, and how to plan if you are aiming for DU in 2027.

CUET dates are from NTA's CUET-UG 2026 information bulletin and result notice. CSAS dates are as reported from DU's schedule; always confirm on admission.uod.ac.in.
How DU admission works
- Check programme requirements on DU's CSAS bulletin — each programme names the CUET tests it will count.
- Register for CUET UG on cuet.nta.nic.in and pick tests to match. You can take up to five tests in total, including languages and the General Aptitude Test; each is 50 compulsory questions in 60 minutes, marked out of 250 (+5 / −1).
- Register on CSAS (Phase 1) once DU opens it — usually while the CUET exams are on or just after.
- Fill programme and college preferences (Phase 2) after the CUET result. Order them carefully: an allotted seat depends on your rank and your preference order.
- Allocation rounds — accept an allotted seat within the window, then choose to freeze it or stay open for an upgrade.
- Pay fees to confirm admission once your college approves it.

- Pick your CUET tests early — they must match the programmes you want. B.Com (Hons), for example, needs specific subject combinations, so check DU's bulletin.
- Your Class 12 syllabus is the CUET domain syllabus for most subjects, so board preparation and CUET preparation overlap heavily.
- Practise timed papers — 50 questions in 60 minutes with negative marking rewards accuracy.
- Keep a backup list — CUET scores also open other central universities (48 in 2026) and many state and private universities.
