NTA's tentative exam calendar (16 September 2026) lists JEE Main 2027 Session 1 on 22–24 and 28–30 January 2027, with 31 January as a buffer day. Session 2 dates and the information bulletin are not out yet.

What happened in JEE Mains 2026
JEE Main 2026 was held in two sessions, 21–28 January and 2–8 April 2026, and NTA declared the final result on 20 April 2026. 15.38 lakh candidates appeared. The JEE Advanced qualifying cutoff for General (UR) candidates was the 93.41 percentile.

Eligibility
Quick check: can you appear for JEE Mains 2027?
Class 12 passed or appearing with PCM. You can appear in the year you pass Class 12 and the next two years (two sessions each year). No age limit.

Percentiles are NTA's JEE Advanced qualifying cutoffs from the JEE Main 2026 result (20 April 2026). NIT figures are JoSAA 2025 final-round closing ranks. Cutoffs change every year with paper difficulty, candidate numbers and seats — use them as a reference, not a prediction.

Print the full syllabus and rate yourself 1–5 on every chapter before you start.

Front-load Class 11 chapters in months 1–3 and Class 12 in months 4–6. Reserve the last month for revision.
