Start freeHow to Plan Your Study Using the Datesheet
- Write the gap before each paper next to it on the timetable. Papers with short gaps need to be revised well in advance.
- ICSE has more papers than CBSE, so don't plan to cram between exams.
- English has two papers (Language and Literature). Prepare both together if they fall close to each other.
- Science has three separate papers in ICSE. Give each its own revision block.
- Geography needs map practice. Keep toposheet and India map work going right up to the paper.
Last-Week Tips for ICSE Students
- English Literature: re-read the key scenes of Julius Caesar and the prescribed stories and poems; answers need close reference to the text.
- Mathematics: solve two full papers under timed conditions and revise the commercial maths formulas.
- Science (all three papers): revise diagrams, equations and numericals, and draw diagrams daily.
- History: revise timelines, key events and cause-and-effect chains.
- Geography: practise maps every day.

When will the ICSE and ISC 2027 datesheet be released?
CISCE hasn't released the 2027 timetable yet. It publishes the ICSE and ISC timetables on cisce.org and sends them to schools, usually several weeks before the exams begin. Until then, treat any 2027 dates you see elsewhere as unofficial.
When were the ICSE and ISC exams held in 2026?
ICSE (Class 10) exams ran from 17 February to 30 March 2026, and ISC (Class 12) exams from 12 February to 6 April 2026. Both results were declared on 30 April 2026.
How long are ICSE and ISC papers?
It depends on the paper. Most ICSE papers, including each of the three science papers, are two hours; some ICSE papers and ISC theory papers run longer, up to three hours. The timetable lists the start time and duration of every paper, and CISCE gives 15 minutes of reading time before writing begins.
How is the ICSE schedule different from CBSE?
ICSE students sit more papers: English is two papers, History Civics and Geography is two, and Science is three separate papers (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). CBSE Class 10, by contrast, has a compulsory February–March exam and an optional May exam for up to three subjects.
What can I take into the exam hall?
Follow the instructions on your admit card and from your school. Mobile phones and other electronic devices are not allowed. Carry your admit card, pens, pencils and geometry box.
Where do I download the official ICSE datesheet?
Only from cisce.org, or from your school once CISCE sends it. Don't rely on unofficial PDFs shared on social media.
