The exam is computer-based, 3 hours long, with no negative marking. AP EAPCET ranks combine 75% EAPCET marks with 25% Intermediate marks; TG EAPCET 2026 ranks used normalised EAPCET marks only. Either way, you need the minimum Intermediate marks in your group subjects to take a seat (in Telangana's 2026 counselling, 45% for OC and 40% for others).

When is the EAMCET 2027 exam date?
EAMCET — now officially EAPCET (Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) — is held separately for Telangana (TG EAPCET) and Andhra Pradesh (AP EAPCET), in May. What is the difference between TG EAPCET and AP EAPCET?
They are separate exams for separate states. TG EAPCET (formerly TS EAMCET), conducted by JNTU Hyderabad for TGCHE, is for admissions in Telangana; AP EAPCET is conducted for APSCHE by a JNTU campus that rotates (JNTU Kakinada in 2026) and is for Andhra Pradesh. The pattern is very similar, but you apply for the state whose colleges you are targeting — local-area status affects seat eligibility.
What streams does EAMCET 2027 cover?
Two streams: Engineering (E) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry; and Agriculture & Pharmacy (A&P) with Biology (Botany and Zoology), Physics and Chemistry. You appear for the stream matching the courses you want. There is no medical stream — MBBS and BDS admissions go through NEET.
Is there negative marking in EAMCET 2027?
No negative marking applied in either TG EAPCET or AP EAPCET in 2026, so attempt all 160 questions. The exam is computer-based, 3 hours long, with 80 questions in Mathematics (or Biology) and 40 each in Physics and Chemistry, 1 mark each.
How is the EAMCET 2027 rank calculated?
It differs by state. AP EAPCET ranks combine 75% EAPCET marks with 25% Intermediate marks. TG EAPCET 2026 ranks were based only on normalised EAPCET marks — the 25% Intermediate weightage was waived, as in 2025. Check each state's 2027 notification for the rule that applies.
When does EAMCET 2027 counselling start?
