यह कविता कल्पना, खेल और आश्चर्य से भरी हुई है। एक पिटारे से गप्पू गोला निकलता है। फिर गोले पर सुतली बाँधने से वह कठपुतली बन जाता है। कविता में एक घटना के बाद दूसरी घटना जुड़ती जाती है, जैसे जादू की लड़ी चल रही हो।

कविता की शुरुआत में पिटारा खोला जाता है और उससे गप्पू गोला निकलता है।

गोले पर सुतली बाँधने से वह

गोले पर सुतली बाँधने से वह कठपुतली बन जाता है और नाचने लगता है।

कठपुतली ने खूँट गाड़े और उसमें

कठपुतली ने खूँट गाड़े और उसमें से नौ सौ ऊँट निकले।

ऊँटों पर सवारी के बाद एक

ऊँटों पर सवारी के बाद एक सुपारी मिलती है। उसे काटने पर नौ मन आटा निकलता है। उस आटे पर नारियल फोड़ने से घोड़ा निकल पड़ता है।

आसमान में एक गुब्बारा मिलता है

आसमान में एक गुब्बारा मिलता है, जिस पर बारा छेद थे। एक छेद पर इन्स्टेशन था और उस पर इंजन खड़ा था। इंजन को धोने पर दो भैंसे निकल आती हैं।
