Dr. Subhash Palekar classified nature's nutritional system into four types: food cycle regulation, capillary action for nutrient provision, rain through cyclones, and local earthworm activities. Chemical fertilizers are not part of this natural system.

According to the chapter, green leaves produce sucrose through photosynthesis, and 25% of it reaches the microbes through the roots. In return, these microbes make humus and provide nutrients to the roots.

The food cycle includes carbon cycle (CO2 absorption and release), water cycle (evaporation and rain), energy cycle (solar energy conversion), and humus formation (organic matter decomposition). Artificial fertilization is not part of the natural food cycle.
