Gujarat Board Class 8 Mathematics — Formula Sheet

Gujarat Board Class 8 Mathematics formula sheet, chapter by chapter — 18 formulas across 4 chapters. Follows the GSEB syllabus.

How to Use the Formula Sheet

  1. Write, don't just read — writing each formula out helps it stick.
  2. Understand the derivation — you can rebuild a formula you half-remember.
  3. Group related formulas — link the ones that build on each other.
  4. Test yourself — cover the sheet and write the formulas from memory.

Every integer is a rational number (e.g., -2 = -2/1).
Multiplication is commutative for rational numbers: a × b = b × a.
Multiplication is associative for rational numbers: a × (b × c) = (a × b) × c.
Zero is the additive identity for rational numbers because adding zero to any rational number gives back that same rational number: a + 0 = 0 + a = a.

The sum of all exterior angles of ANY polygon (convex) = 360°. This is true regardless of the number of sides.
For a regular polygon: Each exterior angle = 360° ÷ number of sides.
The sum of all interior angles of a quadrilateral = 360°.
PROPERTY 1 (Opposite Sides): The opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal in length. (AB = DC and AD = BC)
PROPERTY 3 (Adjacent Angles): The adjacent angles (co-interior angles) in a parallelogram are supplementary, i.e., they add up to 180°. (∠A + ∠B = 180°, ∠B + ∠C = 180°, etc.)

The total angle at the centre of a circle = 360°. All sector angles must add up to 360°.
Probability = 0 means the event is IMPOSSIBLE (e.g., getting 7 on a standard die).
Probability = 1 means the event is CERTAIN (e.g., getting a number between 1 and 6 on a standard die).
