  • There are three main types of families: Nuclear, Joint, and Single-parent.

  • People born around the same time belong to the same generation.
  • You are in one generation, your parents in the next, and grandparents in the previous.
  • A family tree shows how relatives are connected across generations.

  • Many parents work outside home and also do housework.
  • Both mothers and fathers can work and share household duties.
  • Helpers or crèches may take care of children when parents are at work.
