A: Benjamin Driscoll is the protagonist. He is a settler on Mars who works hard to plant trees and make the air fit for humans to breathe.
Q: Why is Driscoll called 'slight'?
A: He is called slight because his body is thin and delicate. Mars's thin air has made him weak and tired, so his body is not strong like an Earth-normal body.
Q: What is Driscoll's main mission on Mars?
A: His main mission is to plant many kinds of trees so that they will make oxygen. He wants Mars to have air that humans can breathe more easily.
