Q: कहानी का मुख्य पात्र कौन है और उसकी उम्र कितनी है?
A: कहानी का मुख्य पात्र बहादुर है। उसकी उम्र बारह-तेरह वर्ष है। वह नेपाली मूल का किशोर है और उसके व्यक्तित्व के केंद्र में संवेदनशीलता, मेहनत और स्वाभिमान दिखाई देता है।
Q: बहादुर का मूल नाम क्या था और उसमें क्या परिवर्तन किया गया था?
A: बहादुर का मूल नाम ‘दिल बहादुर’ था। निर्मला ने उसके नाम से ‘दिल’ शब्द हटा दिया और उसे केवल बहादुर कहने लगी।
Q: बहादुर अपने घर से क्यों भागा था?
A: बहादुर अपनी माँ की मार और घर के कठोर व्यवहार से दुखी होकर घर से भागा था। वह संवेदनशील था, इसलिए पिटाई और अपमान उसे बहुत गहरे लगते थे।
Q: दोहे के मुख्य विषय कौन-कौन से रहे हैं?
A: दोहों के मुख्य विषय भक्ति, शृंगार और नीति रहे हैं। इस अध्याय में विशेष रूप से नीति और उपदेशपरक दोहों पर बल है।
Q: दोहा छंद किस प्रकार का छंद है?
A: दोहा एक मात्रिक छंद है। इसमें दो-दो चरणों वाली दो पंक्तियाँ होती हैं और 13, 11, 13, 11 मात्राओं के चार चरण होते हैं। दूसरे और चौथे चरण के अंत में तुक भी मिलनी चाहिए।
Q: ह्रस्व और दीर्घ मात्रा क्या होती हैं?
A: ह्रस्व को लघु भी कहते हैं। इसकी एक मात्रा होती है और चिह्न '।' है। दीर्घ को गुरु भी कहते हैं। इसकी दो मात्राएँ होती हैं और चिह्न 'ऽ' है।
Q: ‘आह्वान’ का मूल भाव क्या है?
A: ‘आह्वान’ का मूल भाव कर्म के लिए प्रेरित करना है। इसमें देशवासियों को आलस्य छोड़कर परिश्रम, प्रगति और एकता की ओर बढ़ने का संदेश दिया गया है।
Q: उद्बोधन और आह्वान में क्या अंतर है?
A: उद्बोधन का अर्थ किसी व्यक्ति, समूह या समाज को संबोधित करना है। आह्वान का अर्थ किसी बड़े उद्देश्य के लिए कर्म करने की प्रेरणा देना है। आह्वान में बोलने वाला स्वयं को भी शामिल करता है; केवल उपदेश नहीं द

A: कविता की भाषा ओजपूर्ण और उद्बोधनपरक है। ऐसी भाषा मन में जोश, उत्साह और कर्म की भावना जगाती है।
