Studies show that the decrease in sunflower yield is due to the reduction in pollinating insects. Fewer insects means less pollination, leading to lower crop yields.

Indiscriminate use of pesticides

The indiscriminate (excessive and careless) use of pesticides kills not only harmful insects but also useful pollinating insects, reducing their population.

To attract more insects for pollination

Marigold flowers are bright and attractive to insects. Since chilli flowers are small and less attractive to insects, marigold helps attract more insects to the field for better pollination.
