Things Made of Clay

  • Pots, gullaks, birdbaths, and cups called kulhads are made of clay.
  • A potter shapes clay by taking it, wetting it, kneading it like dough, and spinning it on a stone wheel.
  • The clay must not be too watery and not too dry.

  • First, clay is made wet.
  • Then it is pounded well.
  • Next, the clay is kneaded like dough.
