What tool do we use to measure small objects like an eraser or a pencil?

We use a measuring scale or measuring tape. These tools have marks that show centimetres (cm) which help us measure small objects accurately.
How many centimetres are equal to 1 metre?
Answer
1 metre = 100 centimetres. This means if we divide 1 metre into 100 equal parts, each part is 1 centimetre.
Convert 3 metres into centimetres.
Answer
3 metres = 3 × 100 = 300 centimetres. We multiply by 100 because 1 metre = 100 centimetres.
What is a centimetre and when do we use it?
Answer
A centimetre (cm) is a smaller unit of length. We use it to measure small objects like books, pencils, erasers, and other things that are shorter than a metre.
How many centimetres are there in half a metre?
Answer
Half a metre = 1/2 m = 50 centimetres. Since 1 metre = 100 cm, half of that is 100 ÷ 2 = 50 cm.
How many centimetres are there in a quarter metre?
Answer
Quarter metre = 1/4 m = 25 centimetres. Since 1 metre = 100 cm, one-fourth of that is 100 ÷ 4 = 25 cm.
Convert 250 centimetres into metres.
Answer
250 centimetres = 250 ÷ 100 = 2.5 metres or 2 metres 50 centimetres. We divide by 100 to convert cm to metres.
