  • A government budget is an annual accounting statement of item-wise estimates of expected revenue and anticipated expenditure for a new fiscal year

Types of Budget

  • Balanced Budget: Total estimated expenditure = Total estimated income
  • Deficit Budget: Total estimated expenditure > Total estimated income

  • Every budget has Credit Side (Income) and Debit Side (Expenditure)
