What Are Patterns?

  • A pattern is something that repeats in a special order.
  • Patterns can be made with shapes, colors, sizes, numbers, or letters.
  • We see patterns in clothes, tiles, nature, and even in numbers.

Types of Patterns

  • Shape Patterns: Different shapes like circle, square, triangle repeated in order.
  • Color Patterns: Same shape but different colors, like red, yellow, red, yellow.
  • Size Patterns: Big and small shapes repeated, like big circle, small circle, big circle.

How to Solve Pattern Questions

  • Step 1: Look at the beginning of the pattern.
  • Step 2: Find what is repeating (the unit of the pattern).
  • Step 3: Predict what comes next based on the repeating unit.
