Water and electricity together can give a shock

Step 1: Water is a good conductor, which means electricity can travel through water easily. Step 2: If you touch a switch with wet hands, the electricity can pass into your body. Step 3: This gives a very painful and dangerous electric shock. Step 4: Always dry your hands completely before touching any switch or plug. This is a very important safety rule at home.

Ask an elder for help

Step 1: Scissors are sharp objects that can cut and hurt you if not used carefully. Step 2: Young children may not know the right way to hold or use scissors safely. Step 3: Always ask a parent, teacher, or elder to help when you need to use scissors. Step 4: This prevents cuts and injuries. Playing with sharp objects or using them while fighting is very dangerous.

It is safe to go

Step 1: Traffic lights have three colours — red, yellow, and green. Step 2: Each colour gives a different signal to drivers and walkers. Step 3: Green means GO — the road is clear and it is safe to move forward. Step 4: Red means STOP, and yellow means slow down or get ready to stop. Always obey all three lights to stay safe on the road.

A helmet

Step 1: When riding a bicycle, you could fall and hit your head. Step 2: A helmet is a hard hat that protects your head from injury during a fall. Step 3: Always wear a proper helmet before riding your bicycle. Step 4: A school bag and raincoat do not protect your head. Never ride without a helmet as a head injury can be very serious.
