Meaning of Supply and Supply vs Stock
- Supply means the quantity offered for sale at a particular price and time by the producer.
- Supply is a flow variable, related to a specific time period.
- Supply is a desired quantity, that is, how much producers are willing to sell and not how much they actually sell.
Definitions of Supply
- Prof. Meyers defines supply as a schedule of the amount of a good that would be offered for sale at all possible prices at any one instant of a time or during any period of time in which conditions of
- Prof. Benham defines supply as the amount offered for sale per unit of time.
- Anatol Murad defines supply as the quantity of a commodity offered for sale at a given price in a given market at a given time.
Types of Supply
