  • प्रस्ताव का कलेवर प्रायः तीन भागों में विभक्त होता है।
  • पहला भाग प्रारंभ है, जिसमें विषय या समस्या की प्रस्तावना होती है।
  • दूसरा भाग कथ्य-विवेचन है, जिसमें तर्कपूर्ण विवेचन प्रस्तुत किया जाता है।

  • वर्णनात्मक प्रस्ताव में यात्रा, ऋतु, तीर्थ, दर्शनीय स्थल, भवन, उत्सव आदि का वर्णन होता है।
  • विवरणात्मक प्रस्ताव में वृत्तांत की प्रधानता होती है।
  • विवरणात्मक प्रस्ताव प्रायः कालगत होता है।
