  • पत्रों के सामान्य वर्ग हैं: व्यक्तिगत पत्र, व्यावसायिक पत्र, अधिकारी वर्ग को पत्र और संपादक के नाम पत्र।
  • अनौपचारिक पत्र मुख्य रूप से व्यक्तिगत पत्र होते हैं।
  • औपचारिक पत्र ऐसे व्यक्तियों को लिखे जाते हैं जिनसे व्यक्तिगत संबंध नहीं होता।
