Sonia, please return my pencil.

Show answer
We visited Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik.

Step 3: The correct form is: 'Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik' — comma after Mumbai, comma after Pune. Step 4: Option B is missing the comma after 'Mumbai'. Step 5: Options C and D have commas in wrong places. Option A is correct!
What is the rule for using a comma with a noun of address?
Show answer
Put a comma before or after the name of the person being spoken to.
Step 1: A noun of address is the name of the person we are directly speaking to. Step 2: We use a comma to separate that name from the rest of the sentence. Step 3: If the name is at the start, the comma goes after it: 'Rahul, come here.' Step 4: If the name is at the end, the comma goes before it: 'Come here, Rahul.' Step 5: We do not put commas before verbs or at the end of every sentence without reason.
