What Are Interrogative Sentences?

  • An interrogative sentence is a sentence that asks a question.
  • It always ends with a question mark (?).
  • These sentences are used to get information from someone.

How to Form Interrogative Sentences

  • To turn a statement into a question, move the helping verb (like is, are, was, were, have, has, had, will, can) before the subject.
  • For sentences with 'I am', 'He is', 'They were', etc., place the verb before the subject.
  • For sentences with 'has/have/had', 'will', 'can', do the same — bring the helping verb to the front.
