Step 1: Themes are special, professionally designed templates. Step 2: A theme includes background designs, colours, fonts, and effects all coordinated together. Step 3: When you apply a theme, it changes the look of ALL slides in your presentation at once. Step 4: Themes can also be applied to tables, SmartArt, shapes, and charts inside slides. Step 5: They are not just for pictures or font size — they give the entire presentation a professional, matching look.

Design tab

Step 1: PowerPoint has different tabs on the Ribbon, each for a different purpose. Step 2: To change the design or look of your slides, you go to the Design tab. Step 3: When you click Design tab, you can see all available themes and background formatting options. Step 4: The Insert tab is for adding objects like pictures and shapes. The Home tab is for basic text formatting. The View tab is for changing how you view the presentation. Step 5: So, Design tab is the correct answer for applying themes.

Ctrl + M

Step 1: Keyboard shortcuts help you work faster in PowerPoint. Step 2: To insert a new slide quickly, you press Ctrl + M on the keyboard. Step 3: Ctrl + N is the shortcut to open a New presentation (not a new slide). Step 4: Ctrl + S is used to Save the file. Ctrl + V is used to Paste content. Step 5: So remember: Ctrl + M = New Slide (M for More slides!).

Save As

Step 1: When you create a new file in PowerPoint, you need to save it so it is not lost. Step 2: When saving for the first time, you use 'Save As' because you need to give the file a name and choose where to save it. Step 3: You click File → Save As → Browse → type a file name → click Save. Step 4: The regular 'Save' option works for files that already have a name (saving changes to an existing file). Step 5: 'Open' is for opening files, and 'Print' is for printing — so those are wrong options.
