What is an Adverb?

  • An adverb is a word that adds meaning to a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.
  • Adverbs answer questions like: How? When? Where? How often? and How much?

  • Adverbs of Manner – tell how something is done (e.g., bravely, slowly).
