How NTA released the JEE Main 2026 admit cards for both sessions, the download steps, what to check and carry, and when to expect the 2027 admit card.
The JEE Main 2026 exams are over. This page records how the 2026 admit cards were released, how the download worked and what you had to carry — the same steps will apply to JEE Main 2027. For next year's schedule, see our JEE Main 2027 important dates.
How the 2026 Admit Cards Were Released
- Session 1 (21–28 January 2026): NTA issued the city intimation slip first, then released admit cards 3–4 days before each exam day — for example on 17 January for the 21–24 January papers.
- Session 2 (2–8 April 2026): admit cards came out on 29 March for the 2 and 4 April papers, and on 1 April for the 5–8 April papers.
- JEE Main 2027: Session 1 is tentatively on 22–24 and 28–30 January 2027 (NTA exam calendar, 16 September 2026), so expect the first admit cards around 18–19 January 2027.
How to Download
- Visit the official JEE Main website (jeemain.nta.nic.in).
- Log in with your application number and password or date of birth.
- Click on Download Admit Card.
- Save the PDF and print 2 copies — keep one as backup.
Details to Verify
- Name and photograph — must match your ID proof.
- Exam centre address — plan your travel in advance.
- Exam date, shift, and reporting time.
- Paper details (Paper 1 B.E./B.Tech, or Paper 2A/2B).
What to Carry on Exam Day
These were the items NTA required in 2026:
- Printed admit card with the self-declaration (undertaking) filled in — mandatory for entry.
- One passport-size photograph — the same as the one uploaded in your form, for the attendance sheet.
- Original valid photo ID — for example Aadhaar, school ID, PAN card, passport, voter ID or your Class 12 board admit card with photo.
- PwD/PwBD certificate — only if you are claiming relaxation.
- A simple transparent ballpoint pen. Rough sheets are provided at the centre; calculators of any kind are not allowed.
