Step-by-Step Registration

1. Visit scholarships.gov.in — click New Registration
2. Enter personal details — name (as on Aadhaar), date of birth, mobile number, email
3. Verify mobile with OTP
4. Create login credentials — application ID and password
5. Login and complete profile — address, bank details, education details
6. Search and select scheme — filter by your category and education level
7. Upload documents — all in PDF/JPEG format, under 200KB each
8. Submit application
9. Get institution verification — your school/college must verify your application

Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Name mismatch — name must match exactly across Aadhaar, bank account, and marksheet
• Wrong bank account — account must be in student’s name (not parent’s)
• Missing institution verification — follow up with your school/college
