  • Average represents the central value of a dataset and lies between maximum and minimum values
  • If each observation is increased/decreased by constant N, average changes by same amount
  • If each observation is multiplied/divided by constant N, average changes by same factor

  • Hour hand moves 30° per hour, minute hand moves 6° per minute
