Positive × Negative = Negative. Example: 3 × (–5) = –15.
Negative × Positive = Negative. Example: (–4) × 7 = –28.
Multiplication is commutative for integers: a × b = b × a.
Multiplication is associative for integers: (a × b) × c = a × (b × c).

Example: 3 × (2/7) = (3 × 2) / 7 = 6/7
Formula: (a/b) × (c/d) = (a × c) / (b × d)
Example: (2/3) × (4/5) = (2 × 4) / (3 × 5) = 8/15
Example: 1.2 × 2.5 → 12 × 25 = 300; total decimal places = 1 + 1 = 2; answer = 3.00 = 3
