Card 1Perimeter of Rectangle

Find the perimeter of a rectangle with length 10 m and breadth 6 m.

Answer

Step 1: Use the formula — Perimeter = 2 × (length + breadth) Step 2: Plug in values — 2 × (10 + 6) = 2 × 16 = 32 m Answer: 32 metres

Card 2Perimeter of Square

A square has a side of 7.6 cm. What is its perimeter?

Answer

Step 1: Use the formula — Perimeter = 4 × side Step 2: Plug in value — 4 × 7.6 = 30.4 cm Answer: 30.4 cm

Card 3Perimeter of Triangle

The sides of a triangle are 6.3 cm, 5 cm, and 4.7 cm. Find its perimeter.

Answer

Step 1: Add all three sides — 6.3 + 5 + 4.7 Step 2: 6.3 + 5 = 11.3; 11.3 + 4.7 = 16 cm Answer: 16 cm

Card 4Perimeter of Rectangle

The length of a rectangular field is three times its breadth. If the breadth is 3½ m, find the perimeter.

Answer

Step 1: Breadth = 3½ m = 3.5 m Step 2: Length = 3 × 3.5 = 10.5 m Step 3: Perimeter = 2 × (length + breadth) = 2 × (10.5 + 3.5) = 2 × 14 = 28 m Answer: 28 metres

Card 5Perimeter of Square

The length of a square field is 35 m. How far will a man walk if he goes around it 3 times?

Answer

Step 1: Perimeter of square = 4 × side = 4 × 35 = 140 m Step 2: Distance for 3 rounds = 3 × 140 = 420 m Answer: 420 metres

Card 6Perimeter Application

Sonu bought a table cloth 2.25 m long and 1.75 m wide. How many metres of lace does she need to put around it?

Answer

Step 1: This is the perimeter of a rectangle. Step 2: Perimeter = 2 × (length + breadth) = 2 × (2.25 + 1.75) = 2 × 4 = 8 m Answer: 8 metres of lace

Card 7Perimeter of Square

Akash walks 48 m by going around a square field twice. Find the side of the square.

Answer

Step 1: Distance for 1 round = 48 ÷ 2 = 24 m Step 2: This is the perimeter of the square. Step 3: Side = Perimeter ÷ 4 = 24 ÷ 4 = 6 m Answer: Side is 6 metres

Card 8Area of Rectangle

Find the area of a rectangle with length 10 m and breadth 7 m.

Answer

Step 1: Use formula — Area = length × breadth Step 2: 10 × 7 = 70 m² Answer: 70 square metres
