A certain quantity of wheat is divided into two parts in the ratio 5:8. If the second part is 112 kg, what is the total quantity of wheat?

If 8 parts = 112 kg, then 1 part = 112 ÷ 8 = 14 kg. The first part is 5 × 14 = 70 kg. Total quantity = 70 + 112 = 182 kg.
