2010

Krishna Poonia won the gold medal at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games on October 11, 2010, with a throw of 61.51 meters, which was also a new national record. She became the first Indian female athlete to win gold in track and field events at the Commonwealth Games. This was a historic achievement, coming 52 years after Milkha Singh's gold in 1958.
