  • मरुभूमि की रेत के कण आपस में चिपकते नहीं, इसलिए धरती पर दरारें नहीं पड़तीं।

कुँई की खुदाई और निर्माण तकनीक

  • कुँई की खुदाई कुल्हाड़ी या फावड़े से नहीं, बल्कि बसौली से होती है क्योंकि जगह बहुत संकरी होती है।
  • बसौली छोटी डंडी और छोटे फावड़े जैसा औजार है, जिसका नुकीला भाग लोहे का और हत्था लकड़ी का होता है।
  • गरमी कम करने के लिए ऊपर से मुट्ठी भर रेत जोर से नीचे फेंकी जाती है, जिससे ताजी हवा नीचे आती है और गरम हवा ऊपर जाती है।
