  • Amma's rangoli has shapes that can be counted separately.
  • Some shapes in a rangoli are made with curved lines and some are made with straight lines.

  • Faces of a cuboid can be traced to find their shapes.

  • A cuboid can have square or rectangular faces.

3. Rectangles and Squares

  • A rectangle can be built using sticks of given side lengths.
  • A square can be checked by using matchsticks on all its sides.
  • Both squares and rectangles have 4 sides and 4 corners.

4. Square Corners and Matchsticks

  • Two paper strips joined together can show a square corner, a more than a square corner, and a less than a square corner.
  • Two matchsticks can be used to make one square corner.
  • Two matchsticks can also be arranged to make two or four square corners.
