Rectangle and Square
Area of a rectangle = length × width.
Area of a triangle = 1/2 × base × height.
Triangles and Triangle Area
Area of a triangle = 1/2 × base × height.
Area(ΔABC) = 1/2 × h × (DC − DB) = 1/2 × h × BC
Area(ΔABC) = 1/2 × AX × BC = 15/2 sq. units
Area(ΔABC) = 1/2 × BY × AC = 1/2 × 4 × BY = 2BY
BY = 15/4 = 3.75 units
Parallelogram
Area of the parallelogram = base × height.
