To convert a decimal to
To convert a decimal to a percentage, multiply it by 100 and move the decimal point two places to the right. For example, 0.6 = 60%.
To find a percentage of
To find a percentage of a number, convert the percentage to a fraction and multiply it by the number. For example, 20% of 80 = (20/100) × 80 = 16.
Divide the first quantity by
Divide the first quantity by the second and multiply by 100. For example, 20 out of 50 = (20/50) × 100 = 40%.
