In India, the currency is called the Rupee (₹), and smaller amounts are measured in Paise (p). This chapter teaches how to write, convert, add, subtract, multiply, and divide money using rupee

The money used in India is called the Indian Rupee (₹). There are 100 paise in 1 rupee. We write rupees and paise using decimal points, like ₹ 25.75 m
To convert rupees to paise
To convert rupees to paise, multiply by 100. For example, ₹ 3.50 = 350 paise. To convert paise to rupees, divide by 100. For example, 250 paise = ₹ 2.
We add or subtract money just
We add or subtract money just like decimal numbers. Always align the decimal points. For example, ₹ 50.25 + ₹ 30.75 = ₹ 81.00.
We multiply or divide money like
We multiply or divide money like decimals. For example, if one notebook costs ₹ 25.50, then 4 notebooks cost ₹ 25.50 × 4 = ₹ 102.00.
