The money used in India is called the Indian Rupee (₹). There are 100 paise in 1 rupee. We write rupees and paise using decimal points, like ₹ 25.75 m

To convert rupees to paise

To convert rupees to paise, multiply by 100. For example, ₹ 3.50 = 350 paise. To convert paise to rupees, divide by 100. For example, 250 paise = ₹ 2.

We add or subtract money just

We add or subtract money just like decimal numbers. Always align the decimal points. For example, ₹ 50.25 + ₹ 30.75 = ₹ 81.00.

We multiply or divide money like

We multiply or divide money like decimals. For example, if one notebook costs ₹ 25.50, then 4 notebooks cost ₹ 25.50 × 4 = ₹ 102.00.
