ICSE Class 9 Mathematics — Formula Sheet

ICSE Class 9 Mathematics formula sheet, chapter by chapter — 301 formulas across 26 chapters. Follows the ICSE / ISC syllabus.

How to Use the Formula Sheet

  1. Write, don't just read — writing each formula out helps it stick.
  2. Understand the derivation — you can rebuild a formula you half-remember.
  3. Group related formulas — link the ones that build on each other.
  4. Test yourself — cover the sheet and write the formulas from memory.

Q = {a/b : a, b ∈ Z, b ≠ 0}
R = Q ∪ Q̄
a/b = c/d ⇔ a × d = b × c
a/b > c/d ⇔ a × d > b × c
d = (y - x)/(n + 1)

A = P + I
I = (P × R × T)/100
C.I. = A - P
C.I.(next period) = C.I.(current period) + Interest for one period on C.I.(current period)
Amount(next period) = Amount(current period) + Interest on Amount(current period) for one period
The full Compound Interest (Without Using Formula) formula sheet
A = P(1 + r/100)^n
C.I. = P[(1 + r/100)^n - 1]
When the rate changes from year to year, the amount is found by A=P(1+r1/100)(1+r2/100)(1+r3/100)...
For interest compounded half-yearly, the formula is A=P(1+r/(2×100))^(n×2).
