A learner's license is valid for up to 6 months from the date of issue. This period is considered sufficient for a person to learn driving skills under supervision before applying for a permanent license. Three months would be too short for adequate learning, while 1 year or 2 years would be unnecessarily long for a learning period. After one month but within 180 days (6 months), one can apply for a permanent license.

Income certificate

Income certificate is not required for obtaining a learner's license. The required documents include age proof (birth certificate, school certificate, passport), address proof (ration card, electricity bill, voter ID), and passport photographs for identification. Income certificate is not relevant for driving license eligibility as driving ability is not dependent on income level. The focus is on age, identity, and residence verification.

Get ready to go

Orange (or amber) traffic signal means 'get ready to go.' It appears between red and green signals, giving drivers time to prepare to move when the green signal appears. It does not mean stop immediately (that's red) or move the vehicle (that's green). It's not specific to turning left. The orange signal serves as a transition period, allowing drivers to be alert and prepared for the change to green signal.

For pedestrians to cross roads safely

Zebra crossings are specifically designed for pedestrians to cross roads safely. They are marked with white stripes resembling zebra patterns and are placed at locations with heavy traffic. Vehicles are not allowed to park on zebra crossings, they are not exclusively for emergency vehicles, and they are not meant for loading and unloading goods. The primary purpose is pedestrian safety, giving them a designated and visible place to cross roads where drivers expect and watch for people crossing.
