  • Two important male stone figures are the bust of a bearded man in soapstone and the male torso in red sandstone.
  • The bearded man is interpreted as a priest and is draped in a shawl coming under the right arm and covering the left shoulder.

  • Bronze statues were made using the lost wax technique.
  • In this method, wax figures were first covered with clay and allowed to dry.

  • The standard Harappan seal was a square plaque of 2×2 square inches made from steatite.
