  • Non-economic activities are not related to production, exchange, distribution, or consumption of wealth.
  • They are not performed to earn money.
  • They are usually done for personal satisfaction, love and affection, patriotism, social obligation, or religious duty.

  • The classification of activities depends on the object of the activity, direct relation with wealth, and legality of the activity.
  • If the main object is economic gain, the activity is economic.
  • If the activity is done to elevate human sentiments, it is non-economic.
