Why do we use pronouns?

We use pronouns to avoid repeating nouns again and again. It makes our sentences shorter and clearer. For example: 'Ravi is my friend. He is kind.' Instead of saying 'Ravi is kind', we use 'He'.

Anil forgot to bring it. Here, 'it' is the pronoun that replaces 'the notebook'.
