  • Gold is shiny yellow, highly malleable, and found in free state because it is not reactive.
  • Pure gold is 24 carat, and 22 carat gold is 22 parts pure gold mixed with 2 parts copper or silver.
  • Silver is greyish white, highly malleable and ductile, and the best conductor of heat and electricity.

  • Oxygen is needed for breathing, respiration, and combustion.
  • Nitrogen forms 78% of air in free state and is used in food canning and fertilizers.
  • Carbon occurs as coal, graphite, and diamond.
