  • Kidneys are bean-shaped and reddish brown.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

The right kidney is higher than the left kidney because the body is not perfectly symmetric.

The efferent arteriole is wider than the afferent arteriole because it carries blood away from the glomerulus.

Bowman's capsule and glomerulus are separate structures with no special name together.
