Let us sing – A Farm

1Replace the animals in the rhyme with other animals and their sounds. Use the sounds of animals from your language. For example: cat – miaon-miaon.Show solution
Given: The rhyme uses a cow with the sound 'moo-moo'. We need to replace the animal and its sound with another animal.

Concept: Each animal makes a different sound. We substitute the animal name and its sound into the same rhyme pattern.

Example 1 – Cat:

My dear grandpa had a farm
E-I-E-I-O
And on that farm,
He had a cat
E-I-E-I-O
With a miaon-miaon here
And a miaon-miaon there
Here a miaon, there a miaon
Everywhere a miaon-miaon
My dear grandpa had a farm
E-I-E-I-O

Example 2 – Dog:

My dear grandpa had a farm
E-I-E-I-O
And on that farm,
He had a dog
E-I-E-I-O
With a bow-bow here
And a bow-bow there
Here a bow, there a bow
Everywhere a bow-bow
My dear grandpa had a farm
E-I-E-I-O

Example 3 – Goat:

My dear grandpa had a farm
E-I-E-I-O
And on that farm,
He had a goat
E-I-E-I-O
With a meh-meh here
And a meh-meh there
Here a meh, there a meh
Everywhere a meh-meh
My dear grandpa had a farm
E-I-E-I-O

Final Answer: Students may use any animal and its sound (in English or their own language) and fit it into the same rhyme pattern.
