1Have you seen a rainbow?Show solution
Yes, I have seen a rainbow. (Students should answer based on their own experience. If they have seen a rainbow, they say 'Yes'. If not, they say 'No, I have not seen a rainbow yet.')
2When did you see it?Show solution
I saw a rainbow after it rained one afternoon. (Students should share their own experience — for example: 'I saw it after the rain stopped in the evening.' Answers will vary for each child.)
3Where did you see it?Show solution
I saw it in the sky near my house. (Students should describe the place where they saw the rainbow — for example: 'I saw it from my window' or 'I saw it in the park.' Answers will vary.)
4What is the colour of the sky during sunrise and sunset?Show solution
During sunrise and sunset, the sky looks orange, red, pink, and golden. These warm and bright colours make the sky look very beautiful at these times of the day.
5Go outside and look at the sky. Do you see the clouds? What shapes do you see in the clouds? Draw what you see in the clouds.Show solution
Step 1 – Go outside and observe: Go outside with your teacher or parent and look up at the sky carefully.
Step 2 – Look for clouds: See if there are clouds in the sky. On most days you will find white or grey clouds floating in the sky.
Step 3 – Identify shapes: Look carefully at the clouds. They can look like different shapes — for example, a rabbit, a dog, a mountain, a flower, or a boat. Every child may see a different shape.
Step 4 – Draw: Draw the shape you see in the clouds in your notebook and colour it.

Sample answer: I went outside and looked at the sky. I saw big white clouds. One cloud looked like a rabbit and another looked like a boat. (Answers and drawings will vary for each child.)
6Watch the sky at sunrise, sunset and at night. Share your experience with the class.Show solution
Step 1 – Observe the sky at three different times:
• At sunrise (early morning): The sky turns orange, pink, and golden. The sun slowly rises and it becomes bright and light.
• At sunset (evening): The sky again turns red, orange, and purple. It is very colourful and beautiful.
• At night: The sky becomes dark blue or black. We can see the moon and many twinkling stars.

Step 2 – Share with the class:
Sample sharing: 'In the morning, the sky was orange and pink. In the evening, it was red and golden. At night, the sky was dark and I could see the moon and many stars. It was very beautiful.' (Students should share their own observations in their own words.)
