  • Quantitative classification has two stages: raw data and statistical series.
  • Raw data are unorganised original figures.
  • Statistical series are data arranged in a systematic order.

4. Formation of Series and Class Intervals

  • Individual series can be arranged by roll number or by simple array.
  • Simple array may be in ascending order or descending order.
  • In discrete series, tally bars are used to count frequencies easily.
