The word cent means hundred. Percent means per hundred or out of hundred. Five percent is written as 5%.
Multiply the value by 100
Multiply the value by 100 and write the percent sign. For example, 0.3 becomes 30%, and 3/4 becomes 75%.
Divide the percent by 100
Divide the percent by 100 and remove the % sign. For example, 120% = 120/100 = 6/5, and 37% = 0.37.
