  • E-waste means Electronic Waste and consists of electronic products nearing the end of their useful life.
  • Under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016, e-waste means electrical and electronic equipment, whole or in part discarded as waste by the consumer or bulk consumers as well as rejects from manufacturi
  • Under these rules, manufacturer, producer, importer, transporter, refurbisher, dismantler and recycler are liable for damages caused by improper handling of e-waste.

  • Recycling means salvaging materials in order to reuse them.
  • It saves money, natural resources, energy, and raw materials, and reduces pollution.
  • Recycling is of two types: Internal Recycling and External Recycling.
