1. Meaning and Purpose
- Informal or friendly letters are letters that are written to family members and friends.
- The language used in these letters is informal and personal.
- A friendly letter is used for sharing news, feelings, encouragement, thanks, or experiences.
2. Letter Format
- There are two acceptable letter formats and the two must not be mixed.
- The two acceptable formats are Box Type Format and Traditional Format.
- The sender's address must be written in full.
3. Salutation, Subscription, and Date
- A friendly letter is only written to a specific set of people: Mother, Father, Parents, Grandmother, Grandfather, Grandparents, Siblings or cousins, Near relatives, and Friends.
- For siblings or cousins, first names are used without mentioning the relationship.
- Accepted salutations include My dear Mother, My dear Father, My dear Grandmother, My dear Grandfather, My dear Ashok, and My dear Firoz.
4. Body of the Letter
- The body of the letter must answer three distinct parts of the given question.
- Each response must be expressed in at least two separate words.
- All the question words couched in the given statement must be answered.
