Partnership Deed and Its Absence

  • A partnership deed is a written agreement outlining terms like profit sharing, capital, interest, salary, etc.
  • In absence of a deed, the Indian Partnership Act, 1932 applies.
  • Rules in absence of deed: profit shared equally, no interest on capital or drawings, 6% interest on partner's loan, no salary to partners.

  • Two methods to maintain capital accounts: Fixed and Fluctuating.
