1. Finding Directions

  • One way to find directions is by facing the rising Sun.
  • The Sun rises in the east.
  • If a child is facing the rising Sun, the front points east.

2. Reading Routes on a Street Map

  • A route is the path taken from one place to another.
  • The bus route to the school trip begins at the parking area.
  • Children are picked up at Stop 1 and Stop 2.

3. Metro Map Reading

  • Children get off the bus at Qutb Minar metro station.
  • Children must get off the metro at Supreme Court metro station to reach the zoo.
  • Qutb Minar station is on the Yellow Line.

4. Ant Movement on a Grid

  • The ant can only crawl along dotted lines on the grid.
  • The arrows show the direction in which the ant can move.
  • To reach the laddoos, the ant has to crawl 2 cm towards the east.
